What happens when 2 people put the same max. bid on ebay?
For example, you want to buy a cell phone and it's current price is at 150$ but you are willing to pay more so you put your maximum bid at 200$ and let ebay do their thing by bidding for you up to that price.But what happens if someone else also puts 200$ as their max. bid? Who wins?

What's the point of sniping on ebay if you can put in a max bid?
I'm assuming that ebay auto bids up to what you place as a max bid. What's the point of sniping then? So you don't have to bid once on an item (in order to submit a max bid)?
It is an effort to try to keep the price lower. If you put a high max bid on it (but not so high that it is not worth it) some one else can come and bid until they beat your price. Also, if your watching an auction and there is a sniper watching it also, if they bid at the last minuet and you don't...then they will prolly win it. I figured out how to do it, b/c I kept getting beat at the last minuet, by snipers. Alot of times you have to do this, b/c so many others are doing it.
Ebay max bid vs an ebay sniper?
if someone placed a max bid on ebay for an item, lets say $80
and someone else is using a sniper on the same item, lets say with a max bid of $90
will the ebay max bid and the sniper kinda battle it out in the last few seconds or can the max bid still bid after the sniper in the last three seconds or so?
An ebay sniper is designed to not give you a chance to rebid after it's bid. So if the current max bid is $80 and the sniper is $90 then the sniper wins.

I know how max bid works and all but do I just enter my max bid in the same spot you enter all your bids. So with like 20 seconds I should type in a max bid into the regular bid area to avoid getting pwnd?
Yep, enter your maximum bid into the same box... But wait until 12 seconds so there's less time for other bids to come through just before the auction ends :)
